USDF Championship Announced

28 December 2011 No Comment

At the recent Adequan/USDF Annual Convention Board of governors meeting the delegates voted for a U.S. Dressage Federation national championship.

Adult amateur and open divisions will be included for all levels. To qualify, riders must be invited by winning the champion and reserve champion from each regional championship division. If they choose not to go, the next highest placed rider will be invited, but the invitations will be limited to the top five placings.

The debate over including youth and juniors was highly debated, and although not included, there are expectations for their divisions to be added later on.

The first championship will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington in November of 2013.
